"I'm relaxed for this fight. I'm used to fighting idiots like [Chael Sonnen] that are talking about me. It's a constant battle. I've fought idiots all over the world. Some have respected me. Some haven't. I can't tell you who's gonna win Saturday night. We'll see how he's acting tomorrow at the weigh-ins. That's when it's gonna start, and we'll see how it goes... To talk about me is easy, try beating me."
-Anderson Silva addresses Chael Sonnen's running commentary during the pre-fight press conference for UFC 117.
Penick's Analysis: Anderson Silva was great at the press conference yesterday. Showing up in his pink shirt with his earrings in and his hat on backwards was a very conscious decision on his part with Sonnen's previous comments about that particular dress. Along with these comments, and then a very serious staredown, Silva has clearly been letting Sonnen talk and let it build up, and he might just be ready to unleash something tomorrow night. I don't know exactly what to expect, but I have a feeling that Sonnen's talking has done what everyone wanted it to do, and it will bring out the fight in Silva at UFC 117.
