Mike Swick's not the only UFC representative making some money in the World Series of Poker this year.
While Swick just missed out on a final table of one of the early events of this year's World Series in Vegas, UFC ring announcer Bruce Buffer one-upped him with a deep run in the main event.
Making it to Day 5 of the tournament, Buffer made it into the money and finished in 478th place out of 7,319.
While the buy-in for the event is $10,000, Buffer earned $27,519 for his placement in the tournament.
Buffer is a semi-professional poker player when he's away from the Octagon, and the poker room at the Luxor in Las Vegas has been renamed the "Bruce Buffer Poker Room."
This was Buffer's first cash in the World Series of Poker.
