"I kind of figured [Shogun] would be out for awhile after his last fight hearing how he went into the fight beforehand... At this point, unless they come up with an interim title, then I'll wait. Having a chance to fight for a title is a once-in-a-lifetime chance, and I consider myself to be very lucky that I got two chances."
-Rashad Evans talks to MMAJunkie.com about being content waiting for UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio "Shogun" Rua to get healthy unless the UFC presents a bout for the Interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, as Rua is injured and out of action until March of 2011.
Penick's Analysis: There's no reason to put together an Interim Championship bout, as Shogun just won the title and will defend it within a year of winning it. They know what the injury situation is, it's not a mystery as to his return timetable, so they don't need to put an Interim bout together. And if Rashad's fine waiting until March, they should be in no rush to put him into another bout in the meantime, anyway.

I am very nervous that Carlos Condit will win on Saturday night, and that I won't be able to fight Nick Diaz this summer. Carlos Condit is a very good fighter, he can strike, he is aggressive and he has submissions...
Georges St-Pierre is the only logical choice for Sonnen, since he's made it clear to the world at large that Anderson Silva wants nothing to do with him. And since everything that comes out of Chael's mouth when hyping a fight can be taken as gospel...
