A welterweight bout between Nick Osipczak and Rick Story appears to be on its way to Abu Dhabi, as MMAJunkie.com reports it is in the works for UFC 112 on April 10th.
Story is 2-1 in the UFC, losing his debut to John Hathaway in a bout that snapped a six fight win streak. He rebounded very nicely with a victory over Brian Foster that earned him an extra $130,000 in bonus money. His second round arm triangle from within Foster's guard took home the "Submission of the Night" and the two took home "Fight of the Night" honors for that event. He won his second straight bout in the Octagon over Jesse Lennox at Fight Night 20.
Osipczak appeared on The Ultimate Fighter season nine as part of Team U.K., losing in the semifinals of the welterweight tournament to runner-up DaMarques Johnson. He went on to defeat Team U.S. member Frank Lester at the finale event and then defeated Matt Riddle in November at UFC 105.
UFC 112 is set to air live on pay-per-view from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, headlined by two Title fights. The Middleweight Championship is one the line as Anderson Silva faces Vitor Belfort, and B.J. Penn defends his Lightweight Championship against Frankie Edgar.
Penick's Analysis: This is a good fight for these young welterweights should the bout come to pass, and would be a solid addition to any undercard. There's not much more to it than that, as both fighters are still early on in their careers and this is one of the many building block fights toward wherever they end up in the sport. For now it should be an exciting fight for the Abu Dhabi crowd on the preliminary card of this event.

"There's still a large contingent of people, that they just want to see these guys almost die, or the other guy almost die and come back, and sometimes fights are like that. Certainly they are. But sometimes you get technical masterpieces too, and to hate a beautiful, technical fight - you're not really a fight fan...
Diaz has a granite chin, possesses perhaps the best recovery in the sport, his pace and conditioning are second to none and he sets records with the volume of his punches almost every time he steps into the cage. Nick Diaz is simply designed to fight the way he fights, and not many other fighters are...
"There was a lot of poison going on around there and I'm really disappointed because we had a good thing going. It was a good thing and I think people's egos got in the way. Well, not people just Javier, his ego got in the way, and too many cameras in the gym and him trying to build himself up and his brand, his AKA brand...
