"I'm going in as the underdog and there's been many a time where I've been in this situation so, I think that's helped me a lot. Everybody is beatable. Is it going to be hard as heck? Absolutely. It's going to be the hardest fight of my career. I have to absolutely do everything right from the beginning to the end of the fight. Is it going to be easy? No. That isn't what I'm saying. But, I'm going in there to win and it's very possible."
Penick's Analysis: Holm has to believe she's capable of beating Rousey or she would be defeated before even stepping in the cage. That said, she recognizes how difficult the fight is going to be. And having a realistic idea of the challenge ahead should help her be better prepared. Ultimately none of that may matter by the time the fight happens, but the only way she gives herself a chance is by understanding what's ahead of her and preparing with the confidence that she can succeed.
