Eight-year UFC veteran Cole Miller makes his 18th appearance in the Octagon this December, as FoxSports.com reports that he'll square off against Jim Alers on the Dec. 19 UFC on Fox 17 card in Orlando.
Miller entered the UFC in 2007 out of The Ultimate Fighter's fifth season, and through stints at lightweight and featherweight he's gone 10-7. After a run of wins in three of four, Miller lost his last outing at UFC Fight Night 60 in February, dropping a decision to Max Holloway.
Orlando's own Alers has split his two fights in the UFC, beating Alan Omer in his UFC debut, but was stopped by Chas Skelly on that same card in February.
UFC on Fox 17 will serve as the final UFC event of 2015, and will be headlined by a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Donald Cerrone.
