Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem will finally square off on Dec. 19, and now that the bout is officially set for UFC on Fox 17 the trash talking continues.
The two have exchanged numerous jabs at one another in interviews and on social media over the last couple of years, and with the fight announced on Tuesday, dos Santos kept it going on Instagram.
"I don't choose opponents, but I'm not gonna lie - it will feel great to shut this guy up," dos Santos wrote (translated by Guilherme Cruz at MMAFighting.com). "USADA Let's work.
"I hope he doesn't fail the drug test this time."
Penick's Analysis: Dos Santos has heard plenty from Overeem, who has continued to lay comments on thick on Twitter waiting for the fight to be officially set, and now that it's going to happen he'll fire back. This is going to continue through this fight in December, but at least there's now a light to the end of the tunnel.
