A much talked about heavyweight fight between Junior dos Santos and Alistair Overeem is now officially set, and will take place at UFC on Fox 17 in Orlando, Fla., this December.
The made the fight official on Tuesday, and it will take place during the night's main card on Dec. 19.
Dos Santos fights for the first time in a year, having last competed at UFC on Fox 13 in December of 2014. The former UFC Heavyweight Champion edged past Stipe Miocic in the main event of that card, which itself was his first fight since a loss to Cain Velasquez in October of 2013.
As for Overeem, he's put together wins in three of his last four fights after consecutive KO losses to Bigfoot Silva and Travis Browne. That includes back to back victories over Stefan Struve and Roy Nelson, and he'll try to make it three in a row against the former Champion.
