Matt Brown has confirmed his next fight, and it should be a good one.
In the latest Great MMA Debate podcast (via FoxSports.com), Brown confirmed rumors from over the weekend that he'll face Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of "The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America 2" on Nov. 21 in Monterrey, Mexico.
Gastelum, who served as one of the coaches of that season alongside Efrain Escudero, is getting his wish to go back to welterweight after a successful middleweight diversion against Nate Marquardt. The winner of The Ultimate Fighter's 17th season has gone 5-1 since winning that finals bout, with his sole loss a split decision to Tyron Woodley in a fight he should have been pulled from. He was hospitalized due to his weight cut before weigh-ins, yet was asked if he could go through with the fight when he shouldn't have been.
As for Brown, he got back on track with a great and entertaining one round battle with Tim Means at UFC 189 last month. The submission win following a knock down blow halted a two-fight losing streak, and renewed Brown's goal of working his way to the UFC Welterweight Title.
The Nov. 21 event will feature the finals of the second Latin America season of the reality show, and will air live on Fox Sports 1. It's the UFC's third trip to Mexico in a one year span, and their first outside of Mexico City.
