Dan Henderson's got a rematch coming in November.
After trolling fans a bit and teasing them with a fight announcement all night, Henderson revealed that he'll be taking on Vitor Belfort a third time in the main event of a UFC Fight Night event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Nov. 7.
Geez, I didn't realize how impatient mma fans are for their news. I'm fighting Vitor on Nov 7th in Sao Paulo.
Henderson lost to Belfort in just over a minute in November of 2013, getting caught by a head kick that floored him in a rematch of their 2006 matchup in Pride. However, he felt the stoppage was a bit quick in that one, as he thought he was starting to make his way back. Now, following a win over Tim Boetsch in June, he'll try to pick up his second win over Belfort.
Penick's Analysis: It's a sensible fight to make. Henderson got a good win over Boetsch, wants to win the rubber match with Belfort, and is obviously willing to go back into enemy territory for the bout. It works for Sao Paulo, and works for a Fox Sports 1 event.
