"I am thirsty, hungry to realize my dream of becoming champion. I am hungry for justice, because Ronda has been trying to blacken my name. I am hungry for everything I have gone through along the months of preparation. The real champion is underway, I'm coming home with my belt on my body... My preparation is very strong and now is the final lap. I am sharpening the latest details with my teammates and now I am counting the minutes until fight time. Ronda can't imagine what is waiting for her in Brazil."
-Bethe Correia talks to Fighters Only Magazine about Saturday's UFC 190 main event with Ronda Rousey.
Penick's Analysis: Correia's confidence remains her biggest asset into this fight right now, because she hasn't shown anything in her past fights to suggest her skill set beats Rousey. She's been good against lesser competition, no question, and the confidence in herself will bring her a long way, but I just don't see how she finds a way to stop Rousey, and with the Champ getting 25 minutes with which to work, that's a real long time for any fighter to try to survive with what Rousey can do.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
