"My strategy is to walk forward all the time and pressure him. He is a guy who has my respect, he is tough and a great striker. However, his jiu-jitsu is not so sharp. I have to take advantage of that. This will be one of my biggest fights and the way to victory is to walk forward. I always try to take the fight to where I'm best at, which is jiu-jitsu. I'm training my striking really hard, too. I think it will be a great fight no matter where it goes."
-Charles Oliveira talks to Tatame.com about his strategy into his first UFC headlining matchup against Max Holloway next month at UFC Fight Night 74 (translated by Lucas Rezende at BloodyElbow.com).
Penick's Analysis: While Holloway was beaten on the ground in his UFC debut, I don't know that it should be considered a weakness at this point. He's been as good as any mid to high level guy in the UFC over the last couple of years, and has opened eyes with how well he's performed in that time. This is going to be a highly intriguing main event between a pair of young and extremely talented fighters in the featherweight division next month, and Oliveira has to be prepared for everything.
