The UFC Featherweight Champion injured his ribs in training last week, and though one set of doctors has deemed the injury just a bruise rather than a break, we won't know until he tries to train in order to cut weight whether he'll fight at UFC 189 next week.
Penick's Analysis: The continued delay isn't encouraging, and is unfair to the fans who are traveling to Las Vegas next week. If he ultimately pulls out, those who are traveling for that fight aren't getting a chance to change their plans or get refunds on anything. It really seems like he's going to be out of the fight, but by continuing to give hope they're leaving fans hanging until it's too late to do anything.
