An unfortunate injury to Erik Koch has taken him out of UFC on Fox 16 in Chicago next month.
The UFC announced the injury removal on Monday, revealing that newcomer Andrew Holbrook will take his place against Ramsey Nijem on the card.
Holbrook brings a perfect 9-0 mark with him to the Octagon. The Indiana native has won each of those fights by submission, with all but one ending in the first round.
He'll try to pick up his biggest win to date against Nijem, a runner-up on the 13th season of The Ultimate Fighter who has gone 5-4 in his nine UFC appearances thus far. He's looking to get back on track 11 months after his last appearance, where he was stopped by Carlos Diego Ferreira.
UFC on Fox 16 hits the United Center in Chicago, Ill., on July 25, headlined by the UFC Bantamweight Championship rematch between T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao.
