A bantamweight matchup between Roman Salazar and Marlon Vera is headed to UFC Fight Night 74 in Nashville this August, with both fighters looking for their first victory in the Octagon.
Salazar has appeared twice in the UFC thus far, suffering one loss with the other ending in a no contest. He was submitted by Mitch Gagnon last fall on short notice, and his fight with Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto was waved off early when he poked the Japanese veteran in the eye.
He'll try to get on track against Vera, the 22-year-old "TUF: Latin America" vet hoping to bounce back from a decision loss to Marco Beltran in Mexico City last November.
UFC Fight Night 74 airs live on Fox Sports 1 on Aug. 8, headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Ovince St. Preux and Glover Teixeira.
