"I'm not missing the Madison Square Garden fight. That's for sure. That's all I really care about... Everybody's asking me about 'Jacare' or Rockhold; honestly it doesn't matter. I want to fight either one of them in Madison Square Garden. As long as I'm in that venue, I'm a happy man. That's a dream. That's really the focus. I'm going to talk to the UFC and find out what the deal is with that and we'll probably go from there. Jacare would be amazing competition. I know Rockhold's here. I'm not the matchmaker, but I feel like Rockhold put on a better last performance than Jacare just because of the guys he fought. I'm not the matchmaker. All I want is a huge fight, preferably in Madison Square Garden."

-UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman talks what's next for him after Vitor Belfort during the UFC 187 post-fight press conference (transcribed by FoxSports.com).

Penick's Analysis: It seems we'll be waiting for Weidman's next title fight after all. The Champ seems willing to wait to see whether or not the UFC is able to come to New York before making a decision, and if they are he'll hold out until December, where they've tentatively targeted that MSG event. Now, Rockhold has said he's willing to wait in that circumstance as well, so if MSG is in play there's probably no question we see that fight in the main or co-main event. Now it's back to the waiting game as far as whether or not New York becomes an option.
