The UFC's first trip to Glasgow, Scotland, now has its headliner, as the UFC announced on Monday that Michael Bisping will face Thales Leites in a five round fight.
Additionally, a lightweight fight between Ross Pearson and Evan Dunham has been booked for the night's co-main event.
Bisping makes his ninth appearance in a main event for the UFC, and fourth in his last five fights. He still has aspirations to make a title run in the UFC following his latest win over C.B. Dollaway, though he's alternated losses and wins over his last eight fights.
As for Leites, he's re-emerged as a potential title contender once again in his second stint in the organization. A one-time title challenger already, Leites has been even better in his second go around, winning five straight fights since returning to the organization in 2013. He's finished three straight opponents, stopping Trevor Smith and Francis Carmont before submitting Tim Boetsch in his most recent outing.
Since suffering a split decision loss to Diego Sanchez in the worst decision in UFC history, Pearson has scored knockout wins in two of his last three. However, the third bout in that stretch saw him get stopped by Al Iaquinta.
He'll try to halt the back and forth run with a second straight win over Dunham, who kept his UFC career alive with a win over Rodrigo Damm in January. That halted a three fight losing streak, which included two straight stoppage losses to Donald Cerrone and Edson Barboza.
