Ovince St. Preux won't be getting a fight with Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, but he will get to headline in his home state of Tennessee.
It was announced on Wednesday's UFC Tonight program on Fox Sports 1 that St. Preux will take on Glover Teixeira in the main event of UFC Fight Night 74 in Nashville on August 8.
St. Preux, 32, is 6-1 thus far in the UFC, stopping five opponents in that time. That includes consecutive knockout wins over former Champ Mauricio "Shogun" Rua and Patrick Cummins.
As for Teixeira, the one-time title challenger is in desperate need of a win after consecutive losses to Jon Jones and Phil Davis. He was supposed to return in February against Rashad Evans, but both fighters suffered injuries to take them out of their scheduled matchup.
The UFC Fight Night 74 card will be the first UFC card in Nashville since January of 2012.
