Four fighters were released by the UFC this week, with 11 fight UFC vet Seth Baczynski topping the list.
According to a report from MMAFighting.com, Baczynski is joined by Justin Jones, Cain Carrizosa, and Marcin Bandel on the chopping block.
Baczynski's first stint with the UFC lasted just one fight, but he got ten in a row once he returned in 2011. The UFC kept him along for a while despite losing five of his last six fights, and he exits the organization after an eight second knockout loss to Leon Edwards last month.
As for Jones, Carrizosa, and Bandel, they combined for zero wins and six losses among them inside the Octagon.
Penick's Analysis: None of the releases are surprising. Baczysnki was lucky to get another fight with the Edwards bout as it was with losses in four of five, so an eight second knockout spelled the end for him without question. None of the others managed to do much of anything in the two fights each of them got, so with an 0-6 mark among them, their releases also come as no surprise.
