Former semi-pro hockey enforcer Steve Bosse has been scheduled in his third UFC bout, and hopes to actually make it to the cage this time at "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4" Finale.
After walking away from MMA last year before actually making his debut in the UFC, Bosse was ready to come back last weekend to replace Quinton "Rampage" Jackson at UFC 186. That fight wound up not happening, as Jackson was able to fight following an emergency appeal of the injunction granted to Bellator MMA.
Bosse was paid his "show" money despite not fighting, but he'll get a chance to step in the cage when he fights Thiago Santos in Brazil. The 33-year-old hasn't fought in over two years, but is 10-1 overall since transitioning to MMA, and has won eight straight fights.
He'll drop to middleweight to take on Santos, who has split his four appearances in the Octagon. In his most recent appearance at UFC 183, Santos stopped Andy Enz in the first round.
The "TUF: Brazil 4" Finale card will air live on Fox Sports 1, headlined by a welterweight bout between Erick Silva and Rick Story.
