Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson added an extra $50,000 to his bank account on Saturday night, earning one of two "Performance of the Night" bonuses at UFC 186.
Johnson was joined by Thomas Almeida in that category, while undercard fighters Chad Laprise and Bryan Barbarena were awarded bonuses for the "Fight of the Night."
Johnson submitted Kyoji Horiguchi in the night's main event with one second left in the 25-minute bout, the latest submission victory in UFC history. The UFC Flyweight Champion dominated the fight from the outset, and was about to cruise to a 50-45 sweep. Then, he made a quick transition from side control to take Horiguchi's arm, forcing the late tap.
Almeida earned his bonus on the pay-per-view card, stopping Yves Jabouin with a standing TKO in the first round. The exciting Brazilian prospect moved to 19-0 in his MMA career, and impressed greatly with his flurries against the cage late.
Laprise and Barbarena had a competitive fight on the Fox Sports 1 prelims, with Laprise edging out the decision victory while Barbarena had a case for it himself.
