In a significant boost to Saturday's UFC 186 card, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is once again set to fight on the event. Jackson first announced his return on Instagram with the comment "It's time to pay some bills! The fight is back on boyz! April 25th UFC186!" The UFC subsequently confirmed his return on Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson is back on the card after an appellate judge in New Jersey overturned the injunction granted in favor of Bellator MMA.
"We are happy with the decision from the New Jersey Court allowing Rampage to fight in Montreal this Saturday night," UFC President Dana White said in a press release. "I am looking forward to seeing Rampage back in the Octagon."
Jackson was pulled from the bout earlier this month after Bellator MMA filed for an injunction due to their belief that their contract with him was valid. The original judge in the case, Karen Suter, agreed. However, Jackson appealed that decision, and on Tuesday his appeal succeeded.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion will now make his return to the organization in the fight against Fabio Maldonado, his first UFC bout since January of 2013. Steve Bosse, who had stepped up to replace him against Maldonado, will no longer fight on the card.
