Nine fighters have received indefinite medical suspensions following Saturday's UFC on Fox 15 event, with Lyoto Machida topping the list out of his main event loss to Luke Rockhold.
The New Jersey State Athletic Control Board sent the list of suspensions to MMATorch after the event's conclusion on Saturday.
Machida - along with Chris Camozzi, Max Holloway, Cub Swanson, Felice Herrig, Corey Anderson, Gian Villante, Aljamain Sterling, and Takeya Mizugaki - each suffered suspected injuries on the card and must be cleared by doctors before their suspensions will be lifted.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion was busted up in the first round, and appeared out of it into the second after taking a brutal elbow at the end of the frame. He ultimately succumbed to a rear naked choke, and will need to be cleared by a CT head scan before getting back to action.
The full list of suspensions is below:
- Lyoto Machida: Suspended indefinitely pending CT head scan
- Chris Camozzi: Suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right elbow
- Max Holloway: Suspended indefinitely pending X-ray of left wrist
- Cub Swanson: Suspended indefinitely pending CT head scan, X-ray of jaw, and X-ray of right thumb
- Felice Herrig: Suspended indefinitely pending CT scan on head and facial bones; also suspended 45 days with no contact for rest and recovery
- Beneil Dariush: Suspended 30 days due to chin laceration
- Patrick Cummins: Suspended 30 days with no contact due to KO loss
- Corey Anderson: Suspended indefinitely pending CT head scan and ENT clearance of mandible; regardless, suspended 45 days with no contact due to chin laceration, and 30 days due to TKO loss
- Gian Villante: Suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right ankle/foot
- Aljamain Sterling: Suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of right hand, and right pelvic X-ray
- Takeya Mizugaki: Suspended indefinitely pending orthopedic clearance of left knee
- George Sullivan: Suspended 30 days with no contact for rest and recovery
- Jimy Hettes: Suspended 60 days due to ear laceration
- Chris Dempsey: Suspended 60 days due to facial lacerations
