Piotr Hallmann will welcome 11-1 lightweight Magomed Mustafaev to the UFC this June at UFC Fight Night 69 in Germany, the UFC announced today.
Hallmann returns to action for the first time since his split-decision loss to Gleison Tibau in September. Hallmann tested positive for drostanolone after the bout, leading to a nine-month suspension. He's 2-2 in his four UFC appearances to date, with both of his wins coming by submission.
The 26-year-old Mustafaev has won ten straight fights in to his UFC debut, with his only career loss coming nearly four years ago. He has finished each of his opponents in 11 career wins, seven by (T)KO, and he has never gone into the third round.
UFC Fight Night 69 hits Berlin, Germany, on June 20, headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira on UFC Fight Pass. Here's the card as it stands now:
Alexander Gustafsson vs. Glover Teixeira
Alan Patrick vs. Mairbek Taisumov
Niklas Backstrom vs. Noad Lahat
Tatsuya Kawajiri vs. Dennis Siver
Nick Hein vs. Lukasz Sajewski
Scott Askham vs. Antonio dos Santos Jr.
Alan Omer vs. Mike Wilkinson
Piotr Hallmann vs. Magomed Mustafaev
