It appears the UFC is going a different direction after Nate Diaz expressed his unfavorable reaction to them announcing a fight between him and Matt Brown.
Brown himself posted on Twitter that the fight was off, stating to FoxSports.com that Diaz didn't sign the bout agreement.
Fight against @NateDiaz209 isn't happening. I'll update you guys soon as I get the word on opponent/date/ thanks for the support as always!
Penick's Analysis: So, either the UFC refused to have further discussion with Diaz after he spoke out about the booking, or he decided not to deal with them at all for now because of the premature booking. Either way, fans are missing out on quite the intriguing fight because the UFC didn't feel like they needed to confirm a booking with one of the more difficult fighters to deal with on their roster.
