UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo spoke to UFC Brazil this afternoon following the heated press conference in Dublin alongside Conor McGregor.
Brushing off the challenger's brash decision to grab his title belt early in the proceedings, Aldo said it's ultimately the extent of what the challenger's going to be able to do to him.
"I didn't feel anything," Aldo said (translated by Guilherme Cruz at MMAFighting.com). "That's the best he can do because next time he's in front of me, I will beat the s*** out of his face.
"Now it's time to go home, train and train. Brother, I will run through him like a runaway truck. I will smash him."
Penick's Analysis: Aldo has had some impressive patience throughout this entire tour, as he's put up with a lot from McGregor, and more than he needed to put up with from the fans in Ireland today. With how calm he stayed in general - save for a few moments where he came close to losing his cool - he's seemingly saving it all for fight night in July. That could be a great thing for him and a bad thing for his challenger, but that's something we'll see for certain come July.
