There's been a significant shakeup to tonight's WSOF 19 event, as Matt Hamill has fallen ill, taking him out of the co-main event with Thiago Silva.
MMAFighting.com reports - citing confirmation from matchmaker Ali Abdelaziz - that Teddy Holder will step up from the undercard to face Silva. His scheduled opponent, Jake Heun, will now fight Clifford Starks, who will take the light heavyweight bout despite weighing in on Friday for a middleweight matchup.
Starks' opponent, Eddie Arizmendi, is now off the card, but he's been paid his show and win money as a result of the shakeups.
Tonight's main card on NBC Sports Network will still be headlined by a Lightweight Title bout between Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino.
Penick's Analysis: This is the second time in a row Hamill has pulled out of a fight for WSOF, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't book him for a third event. The card itself looks a bit different now, but Holder's got a solid opportunity, and UFC vet Starks is taking on quite a challenge in stepping up in weight on a day's notice.
