Ronda Rousey's got a lot of things on her plate this year between fighting, media appearances, a new book, film projects, and more, but the UFC remains a priority.
To that end, Rousey revealed this week that she's renegotiated her deal with the organization, and has extended that contract for several more fights.
"I'm a UFC fighter," Rousey said on ESPN's First Take on Wednesday (transcribed by FoxSports.com). "I just renegotiated. I have a lot of fights that I have in the UFC before I would be able to go do anything else."
In addition to that, Rousey's merchandising through Reebok is going to take a new turn this summer, as she says they'll be taking advantage of her recent quick finishes with a "don't blink" slogan.
Penick's Analysis: While Rousey has a ton of other opportunities coming her way, she's been a very good ambassador for the UFC thus far, and she's such a competitor that she's just not likely leaving the sport anytime soon. There are a lot of fights she can still take, and so long as she's feeling that competitive urge, she'll keep making her way to the cage.
