Henry Cejudo is headed to UFC 188 in Mexico City this June, but it won't be against a top ten competitor.
It was reported on Tuesday's UFC Tonight program on Fox Sports 1 that the UFC is targeting a fight between Cejudo and Chico Camus for the event.
Cejudo, the Olympic gold medal winner, has won two straight fights in the UFC thus far, defeating Dustin Kimura before getting permission to return to flyweight, where he defeated former title challenger Chris Cariaso at UFC 185.
The UFC is looking at him as a potential title challenger, and he'll take his next step against Camus, who at #15 in the UFC's official rankings is several spots below where Cariaso was into last month's event. Camus has gone 3-2 with one no contest in his UFC career, and dropped to flyweight after a loss to Chris Holdsworth last spring. He made a successful debut, though, defeating Brad Pickett at UFC Fight Night 57 in November.
UFC 188 hits pay-per-view on June 13, headlined by the Heavyweight Championship bout between Cain Velasquez and Fabricio Werdum.
