Renan Barao's rematch with T.J. Dillashaw has been delayed once again this week after the rib injury to Dillashaw.

The bout was supposed to happen last August, only for Barao to suffer a bad weight cut and wind up in the hospital. Now, Barao is painting Dillashaw's injury as the Champ running from him, making the following comment on Instagram (translated via MMAFighting.com):

"Guys, as you all might know, my opponent T.J. Dillashaw got hurt and we won't fight on April 25 anymore. It's a shame because I was preparing myself the best way possible for this fight.

Therefore, I only have one thing to say at this moment: Dillashaw, you can run, but you can't hide. Your time will come and you will have to do everything you say you're going to do, without running, or I'll make you swallow your own words.

I will be waiting."

Penick's Analysis: Accusations of running away from a fight are always laughable when it comes to injuries like this. Additionally, Barao's comments towards Dillashaw have come off as delusional and petty at times, because the fact of the matter is Dillashaw already beat him convincingly. They'll fight again eventually, but there's no basis to thinking Dillashaw is scared of a rematch with Barao. But I suppose if that's what the former Champ needs to believe, then he's got to do what he's got to do.
