"It's hard to put it into words when that happens. Cat tried to come out with a fast start and she made a huge mistake. You can't leave an arm extended with Ronda Rousey on the ground. I'm not only impressed, but I'm inspired. Every time I watch her fight, I realize she's on a different level, and I want to get on that level. That's what I want. I want to get on that level. I want to figure out what it is; whether I have to train 12 hours a day, I want to figure out how to catch up. She's a phenomenal athlete, she's a phenomenal fighter, and I want to get on that level... I definitely want all the fans to feel like I've earned [another rematch]. I know that I'm on a three-fight win streak. I know that I've fought Ronda twice, but the first one was way back in Strikeforce. I showed improvement in the second fight, took her to the third round. No one else has been able to do that, but at the same time, I don't want anyone to say, 'Oh, they're just giving it to her.' I want to prove myself, I want to earn it, and I will fight off all the other No. 1 contenders until they have no other option to let us fight."
-Miesha Tate reacts to Ronda Rousey's 14-second win over Cat Zingano at UFC 184 on the post-fight show on Fox Sports 1, making it clear she'll do whatever she has to in order to prove she deserves another shot at the Champ.
Penick's Analysis: It's readily apparent that at present moment, Rousey is just on a completely different level than the rest of the field. It's to the point where it can't be denied, and Tate clearly feels the same way. That doesn't mean she believes any less in herself, and obviously she wants to get another chance to prove herself against the best in her division. Still, Rousey's an undeniably unique monster in this sport, and it's going to take an as-of-yet undetermined skill set to best her.
