For the second event in a row, the UFC has opted to dole out four "Performance of the Night" bonuses in lieu of a "Fight of the Night" award.
UFC 184 featured a number of standout finishes, but it was Ronda Rousey, Jake Ellenberger, Tony Ferguson, and Tim Means each taking home an extra $50,000 for their efforts.
There were a number of other fighters with arguments for bonus money as well, and UFC President Dana White told them after the event that he'll be sending something their way.
"There were a lot of amazing performances, it was very hard to pick tonight," White said. "So those guys who didn't win it, I will send you a check. Don't sweat it."
Rousey's bonus came off her record-setting 14-second win over Cat Zingano in the main event, where she caught the challenger in a straight armbar in a rapid-fire opening sequence.
Ellenberger scored a submission win of his own over Josh Koscheck on the main card, his first since March of 2006. On top of that, it was the first time Koscheck had been submitted since October of 2005.
Ferguson opened up the pay-per-view card with his fifth straight win, rocking Gleison Tibau on the feet before submitting him with a slick rear naked choke. That was the first time Tibau'd been submitted in over six and a half years.
Finally, Means took out Dhiego Lima with an impressively patient and precise array of strikes on the preliminary card, scoring his third straight win in the UFC's welterweight division.
