Lightweight Josh Thomson has had a number of injury setbacks over the last several years of his career, and he's once again been forced to drop out of a fight this week with another.
According to a report from Lance! Net in Brazil, Thomson has been forced out of next month's UFC Fight Night 62 event in Rio de Janeiro.
Thomson, the former Strikeforce Lightweight Champion, was scheduled to face Gilbert Burns on the night's Fox Sports 1 main card. Burns will remain on the card, with the UFC currently seeking a new opponent.
The March 21 event will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare.
