The UFC continues to add fighters to their newest division, as they announced on Wednesday that strawweight newcomers Izabela Badurek and Aleksandra Albu will meet at UFC Fight Night 64 in Krakow this April.
Badurek gets to make her UFC debut in front of a home country crowd in Poland, and she enters off of three straight first round submission wins.
"I can't tell you how excited and happy I am that the UFC has given me this amazing opportunity!" Badurek said in a release on UFC.com about the fight. "I feel very honored and privileged to be the very first Polish girl that gets to compete in the world-famous Octagon on Polish soil.
"With the support of the Polish fans, I want to kick off my UFC career in style and follow the footsteps of my compatriot Joanna Jedrzejczyk and shake up the strawweight division. The call-up to the UFC could not come at a better time for me: For the first time in my career I'm surrounded by a great team that believes in me. I want to pay back the confidence they have in me with another first-round finish in Krakow!"
She'll take on Russia's Albu, who finally makes her UFC debut after injury took her out of all of 2014. She was originally scheduled to debut in late 2013 in the bantamweight division against Julie Kedzie before suffering an injury, and she hasn't fought since.
The UFC Fight Night 64 event airs live on UFC Fight Pass on April 11, headlined by the heavyweight rematch between Mirko Cro Cop and Gabriel Gonzaga.
