"It doesn't feel good at all. It's very tough. He put a lot of pressure on me, but I thought I had everything under control. He threw a good counter and he caught me... Johnson caught me. I wasn't there. I felt like I was in deep water... I'll take a few days off to recover and then get back in the gym and learn from my mistakes."
-A despondent Alexander Gustafsson responded to his loss to Anthony "Rumble" Johnson at UFC on Fox 14 during the Fox Sports 2 post-show.
Penick's Analysis: That was a hard, hard loss for Gustafsson, and he didn't hide his emotions in the aftermath. It's going to be a difficult one to come back from, especially because he now loses that potential title rematch and finds himself much farther away from it. It's going to be a mentally taxing loss as well, and there's a lot he's going to need to get past in order to return to that level. He can get there, but this was a massive setback for him.
