The UFC's January schedule continues to bring highly respectable numbers, as the fast overnight ratings for Saturday's UFC on Fox 14 event are in at 2.82 million viewers, according to a report from TV By The Numbers.

That is far and away the best number the UFC has brought to the network since April 2013 and UFC on Fox 7. That card, headlined by the UFC Lightweight Championship bout between Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez, drew a fast overnight of 3.3 million viewers.

Saturday's event from Sweden brought a 1.1 rating from adults 18-49, which was the best on the night by a significant margin, though it was third in total viewership against the other major networks.

Since the UFC on Fox 7 event, the UFC's Fox viewership has seen a steep decline, with no other event drawing more than 2.55 million in the fast overnights.

Total viewership will come later in the week when west coast viewership is taken into account.

Penick's Analysis: With the main event ending quickly, this card won't get much of a boost from an overrun, as it ended within its timeslot. That said, it could still have a solid bump from the west coast. Regardless, it's good to see them continue the momentum this month from UFC 182's major pay-per-view numbers to last week's record numbers on Fox Sports 1. It's also probably a positive for them that they drew more eyeballs on network TV than they did last week on cable. They've done a much better job selling the events this month than most of 2014, and it's paying off.
