Saunders vs. Silva is a fight that promises absolute violence and excitement, with two of the more action-packed fighters in the welterweight division squaring off.
Saunders returned to the UFC last summer after a lengthy stint in Bellator, and has won two straight fights over Chris Heatherly and Joe Riggs. The win over Heatherly saw Saunders score the first ever omoplata submission in UFC history.
Silva, though he's been wildly inconsistent in his UFC run, is massively exciting at his best, and he's pulled off some fantastic highlight reel wins in his UFC run. In his last outing, he choked out Mike Rhodes in just over a minute.
Both Maia and LaFlare are returning to action after lengthy layoffs. Maia was sidelined with a bone infection that has kept him out since last May, while the undefeated LaFlare hasn't fought since last April.
UFC Fight Night 62 airs live on Fox Sports 1 on March 21 from Rio de Janeiro, headlined by the bantamweight matchup between Urijah Faber and Raphael Assuncao.
