The UFC is heading to Porto Alegre, Brazil on Feb. 22 for a Fight Night event, and according to a report from Globo.com, verbal agreements are in place for a fight between Glover Teixeira and Rashad Evans to headline that card.
The former title contender and former Champ are each trying to reestablish themselves in the UFC's light heavyweight field. Teixeira had a nine-year unbeaten streak snapped by UFC Champ Jon Jones in April, and in his rebound attempt, he dropped a decision to Phil Davis this fall.
Evans hasn't fought since November of last year, having suffered an injury prior to a scheduled fight with Daniel Cormier in February of this year that has kept him sidelined since. He's won his last two fights, defeating Dan Henderson and Chael Sonnen in 2013 after consecutive losses of his own to Jones and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
This event will serve as UFC Fight Night 61, and is the second month in a row the UFC is bringing the rare Sunday night card to Fox Sports 1.
