Despite decisive losses in his two UFC appearances thus far, Ruan Potts is getting another shot in the Octagon this February.
The UFC announced this week that he'll take on Derrick Lewis at UFC 184 in Los Angeles.
Potts entered the UFC in May with an 8-1 record, but was stopped by Soa Palelei in the first round. In his second appearance, opposite Anthony Hamilton, Potts was worn down and finished in the second round at UFC 177.
The 29-year-old Lewis started strong in his UFC run earlier this year, taking out Jack May and Guto Inocente in the first round. In his third fight, though, Lewis was knocked out by Matt Mitrione in just 41 seconds at UFC Fight Night 50.
UFC 184 hits the Staples Center on February 28, headlined by the UFC Middleweight Championship bout between Chris Weidman and Vitor Belfort.
