"I could be better, possibly. To not starve myself during training camp, but to eat more throughout my training camp, I would have more fuel, more energy. For sure. It would bring out the best. I might finally knock somebody out... I would like to compete at 235 [lbs.]. At 235, I'm confident in myself against any of those guys - 235 is very athletic. You can still use your abilities: kicking high, being fast, spinning techniques, jumping techniques... There's definitely a lot of heavyweights I know I can beat. There's a lot of heavyweights I know that could give me a hell of a run or possibly beat me. I keep it real. I'm smaller than these guys... I've been training against heavyweights for years now I know how I compete against those guys. I tend to do really good against them. That would be the next chapter."

-UFC Light Heavyweight Champ Jon Jones talks about a potential move to heavyweight during Monday's "The Time is Now" press conference in Las Vegas (transcribed by Marc Raimondi at FoxSports.com).

Penick's Analysis: Jones is such a tall fighter with a highly superior range that he's a threat to everyone from 205 lbs. and above. Unlike a fighter like Stefan Struve, who doesn't really use his length all that well, Jones is very good at keeping fighters at bay if he needs to, and setting things up from the outside to get in quickly. I don't know if the strength difference from some heavyweights would be a huge detriment against him or not, as he's quite strong at light heavyweight as it is, but it would absolutely be a new challenge for him. With that said, he's got plenty to do at light heavyweight before that move becomes the right one to make.
