The idea of Brock Lesnar making a return to the UFC is a persistent one, getting another bump as a possibility by UFC President Dana White on Monday.
Fielding a question regarding Lesnar at the UFC's "The Time is Now" press conference in Las Vegas, White said the former Heavyweight Champ is interested in a return to the organization, though he currently remains under WWE contract.
"Brock Lesnar is under contract with WWE," White said. "We have a great relationship with him. He's healthy, and he has said that he's interested in fighting again. So, we'll see what happens."
Lesnar's WWE contract is expected to run through Wrestlemania of next year. His last UFC appearance came in December of 2011 in a loss to Alistair Overeem.
Penick's Analysis: If the WWE decides Lesnar isn't worth the money he'd command for limited dates after Wrestlemania, and he wants to try his hand again at MMA now that he's healthier than he was during his final three fights in the Octagon, then it's possible. Still, I'm at the point where I won't believe it until he's signed for a fight and it's on the schedule. I don't expect to see it, but I won't be downright shocked if it happens.
