"That's a huge, huge fight. I'd love to have that fight. I always thought I matched up well with him. I think I am in the right position for it. I'm not the champion, he's not going to come back and get the championship fight right off the bat. I'm in the right position. I can look at it objectively on paper and see that he would be the favorite. I would hope that it would be a five rounder. I would love to do it. I've always wanted to fight Georges."
-Matt Brown talks to FoxSports.com's Great MMA Debate podcast about why he thinks he could be the right man to welcome back Georges St-Pierre to the UFC next year.
Penick's Analysis: If St-Pierre does return, and it's not for the UFC Welterweight Championship, then this would not be a bad idea at all. Brown is an action fighter with dangerous striking, some offensive submission skills, and a history of getting snakebit by submission losses as well. It would be an exciting fight in all likelihood, because Brown is very good at pressing a fast pace, and it could potentially force St-Pierre into a different style of fight than we've seen from him in recent years.
