Alabama heavyweight Walt Harris is getting another go in the UFC, the beneficiary of an injury to Daniel Omielanczuk and the UFC's need to find a late replacement to face Soa Palelei in Australia.
The UFC announced the switch this week, with the new matchup opening up the UFC Fight Pass main card at UFC Fight Night 55.
Harris lost both of his UFC appearances, leading to a release in January after a TKO loss to Nikita Krylov. He's since bounced back with a stoppage win over Bellator and WSOF vet D.J. Linderman at Titan FC 28.
He's getting another shot in the UFC against Palelei, who had his three and a half year winning streak come to an end in his last outing, a decision loss to Jared Rosholt. He had won three straight in the Octagon prior to that loss.
UFC Fight Night 55 takes place from Sydney, Australia, headlined by the middleweight bout between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold.
