Former lightweight Tim Means returned to the UFC as a welterweight earlier this year, and after splitting two appearances in 2014, he'll try to win two straight to close out the year.
The UFC announced this week that Means will take on Marcio Alexandre, Jr., at UFC Fight Night 58 on Dec. 20.
Means returned in May after two fights out of the organization, but dropped a decision to Neil Magny. He rebounded in his next fight, though, defeating Hernani Perpetuo in July.
He'll now take on Alexandre, who lost to Warlley Alves in the finals of "The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3" in May. That was his first loss, ending a 12-fight undefeated streak to begin his career.
UFC Fight Night 58 airs live on Fox Sports 1, headlined by the middleweight bout between Lyoto Machida and C.B. Dollaway.
