"I think Faber needs to keep coaching, trying to do his thing. Because obviously he didn't listen to Dillashaw's coach, and he hasn't gotten any better. The record I know Faber has is the most consecutive title tries and losses. What are you talking about Faber? Settle down... It's nothing towards T.J. He's been nothing but respectful. I don't hate the team. Faber is the only guy I have a problem with. I like the rest of them. T.J. has grown and gotten better. Yeah, he's got the title, so why wouldn't you want to fight for the title?"
-Dominick Cruz talks to Fox Sports 1 after UFC 178 about Urijah Faber, his "Alpha Fails" comment, and his likely fight with T.J. Dillashaw.
Penick's Analysis: There's no love lost between Cruz, Faber, and the Team Alpha Male camp, so Cruz taking his own shots is expected. There's a professional respect there for Dillashaw, but Cruz and Faber aren't ever going to get along with one another. At this stage, while a third Cruz-Faber fight could still work, Faber's further away from that being a reality now that Cruz will fight for that title. If Cruz beats Dillashaw, I just don't know if we'll see Faber getting another shot at a title fight or not.
