In what represents a bit of a "last chance" fight in the UFC for both heavyweights, Alistair Overeem will take on Stefan Struve at UFC on Fox 13 in Phoenix this December.
The UFC announced the fight booking late Wednesday night.
Overeem is getting another fight to turn things around following his latest loss just earlier this month. In that fight, he was stopped by Ben Rothwell, his third stoppage loss in his last four fights.
As for Struve, after a heart condition kept him on the sidelines for for over a year, he attempted to make a return at UFC 175 in July. However, the fight was canceled the day of the event when he had an elevated heart rate backstage, causing doctors to take him to the hospital for precautionary reasons. If he's unable to safely go through with another fight, it could bring his career to an end.
UFC on Fox 13 takes place on December 13 from the US Airways Center in Phoenix, the UFC's first-ever trip to the state of Arizona.
