The first fight for the UFC's Nov. 8 trip to Brazil has been booked, as the UFC announced on Wednesday that former Strikeforce Champ Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante will take on Ovince St. Preux on the card.
The bout is one between the last two fighters to fall to Ryan Bader by decision, with both former Strikeforce competitors taking losses this summer.
First was Cavalcante, who failed to follow up on a Nov. 2013 stoppage of Igor Pokrajac when he lost a decision to Bader at UFC 174. Then Bader followed that up with a win over St. Preux earlier this month, a decision which came in a one-sided main event in Bangor, Maine.
That loss for St. Preux was his first since a decision loss to Gegard Mousasi in Dec. of 2011. It snapped a five fight winning streak which had included his first four bouts in the Octagon.
The Nov. 8 card will take place from the Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Brazil, and will likely air on Fox Sports 1 in the U.S.
