Bellator 127 officially hits the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif., on Oct. 3, as the organization confirmed a previously reported fight for the event in Karo Parisyan vs. Marius Zaromskis, as well as two other fights, on Friday.
The card, airing live on Spike TV, will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Daniel Straus and Justin Wilcox, and will also feature former Bellator Champ Christian M'Pumbu in his middleweight debut against Kendall Grove.
Straus returns for the first time since a loss to Pat Curran for the title earlier this year. That came in the highly criticized immediate rematch after Straus captured the title in November of last year, in a fantastic fight that Curran won in the final seconds by submission.
Wilcox has gone 3-1 in his Bellator run thus far, with the loss coming against the current challenger, Patricio "Pitbull" Freire. He bounced back from that loss in March when he defeated Jason Fischer.
M'Pumbu is hoping to reverse course in a new division following three straight losses in Bellator. The most recent came in February, where he was knocked out by Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Grove hopes to bounce back from a KO loss of his own, which came against Brett Cooper in March.
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
