Kevin Casey made what seemed like a successful return to the Octagon earlier this month at UFC 175, stopping Bubba Bush in just over a minute.
Unfortunately for him, the excitement of the win was short-lived, as news came down this week that he'd failed a drug test out of the event.
Casey tested positive for the steroid drostanolone, and on Thursday he posted an apology to Twitter, stating he made a mistake in his attempt to cut weight.
I apologize to @UFC & the NSAC for my irresponsible action. I made a bad decision trying to cut weight. We are competing in a cleaner sport.
Penick's Analysis: Now, that final comment could be construed as if he's used to competing in a dirtier sport, but regardless, he got caught, and he's apologized. It doesn't mean much, and he's going to get a suspension and fine from the Nevada Athletic Commission for his actions (he's certainly no Chael Sonnen).
DON'T GO YET... WE SUGGEST THESE MMATORCH ARTICLES, TOO!
