A lightweight bout between Gleison Tibau and Piotr Hallmann is heading to Brasilia on Sept. 13.
The UFC announced the bout for the UFC Fight Night 51 card on Tuesday, revealing that it will serve as the co-main event for the card.
Tibau hopes to pick up some momentum after a win over Pat Healy earlier this month. That bounced him back from a knockout loss to Michael Johnson in December. The longtime UFC vet is now 14-8 over 22 fights in the UFC.
Hallmann, conversely, has fought just three times in the UFC thus far. The 26-year-old Polish fighter submitted Francisco Trinaldo in his debut, then dropped a decision to Al Iaquinta last October. He bounced back in June, submitting another longtime MMA vet in Yves Edwards.
UFC Fight Night 51 will be headlined by a heavyweight bout between Andrei Arlovski and Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. While it was originally believed to be a Fox Sports 1 event, the card will instead air live on UFC Fight Pass in the U.S.
